ViciBox Redux v.0.1.9 Released

Postby Kumba » Fri May 07, 2010 3:59 am

Some things corrected:
- phpMyAdmin correctly installed
- Updated the base OS install to be more complete
- Initial phase of VTiger integration

How to install VTiger:
1) Install ViciBox Completely
2) Go to http://<ip>/vtigercrm
3) At the database screen, type in username 'vtiger' with password 'vicidial'
4) Click next, it should install

If anyone feels like contributing a more fool-proof way to pre-install VTiger I am all ears. I'm currently trying to figure out what needs to be done for VTiger to work out of the box without the install phase.

Must VTiger only be installed on the webserver in a load balanced system?

No, Vtiger has to be installed only on one webserver, because for some reason the developers of Vtiger use static flat files for some user permissions and these cannot be replicated easily across a load-balanced setup.

Keep in mind that Vtiger is not designed for large databases, it is recommended that you keep the accounts less than 50,000 accounts, and if you have over 100,000 account you had better have a dedicated database and separate web server for it to use.

No, in that case I will rather wait for your custom fields :)

Hi

I have downloaded the latest Vicibox Redux and followed the installation process exactly as described in the documentation. When asked if we have a Sangoma E1/T1 card installed the answer is "yes". I get the error underneath during installation.

DAHDI has been configured.

List of detected DAHDI devices:

pci:0000:0c:01.0 wanpipe- 1923:0040 Sangoma Technologies Corp. A200/Remora FXO/FXS Analog AFT card

run 'dahdi_genconf modules' to load support for only
the DAHDI hardware installed in this system. By
default support for all DAHDI hardware is loaded at
DAHDI start.
ln: creating symbolic link `dahdi/linux': File exists
/usr/local/bin/vicibox-install: line 228: cd: /usr/src/wanpipe-3.4.6: No such file or directory
/usr/local/bin/vicibox-install: line 33: ./Setup: No such file or directory
ERROR! ERROR! Something has gone horribly wrong! Processing stopped!

Failure Area : Could not install Sangoma Wanpipe drivers.
[/code]
