Stopping the deletion of -IN and -OUT

Hello,
I would like too copy the recordings or save the recordings namely the "IN" before they mixed and moved? What is the best way about doing this? Is there a flag? Can I ship it somewhere else before this happens?

Hey there,

Can you do what you're proposing natively using the CRON audio script? ❌ No...unfortunately no flag exists that I'm aware of (unless it does and someone will correct me :) ).

Can you do what you're proposing using a workaround aside from ViCiDial? ✅ yes...you certainly can. A simple Bash script that runs prior to your CRON_audio_1 script should fufil your needs.

@ViCiDial @mflorell - do you think this would be a useful feature?

Hope this helps,
Martin.

Keep in mind that only Inbound DID initiated recordings would have audio separated into -in and -out channels. Any recording started in the agent screen has the audio pre-mixed already into the -in file, with the -out file being empty, so keeping those files will not be of any use.

If you have need for separated audio channels for all calls, the only viable options with VICIdial is through using OrecX or a VICIdial audio gateway server:

Hi Matt, thank you very much. This is very informative. Is there anyway I can split the AUDIO sir?

There is no way to split the VICIdial agent call recordings.
