Hi,
Hope you guys are well?
Any update as to the new better than ever vicidial is coming out?
With built-in asterisk 13, letsencrypt, firewall, viciphone (with possibly built in load balancing)

no updates as of yet, we've had a busy summer here this year, which is a good thing for us, but bad for unpaid projects like VICIbox.

Be careful with that: My last September Suprise was 19 years ago (on the 5th) and has cost me thousands in Tuition recently.

Next version of asterisk (14.0.1) has Opus already. So it'll happen eventually.

Asterisk 14 & 15 are both short term releases, which we usually don't bother doing any compatibility tests since they are only supported for a year. In fact, Asterisk 14 hits it's end of life IN TWO DAYS.
The good news is that Asterisk 16 is a long term release, but there haven't been any full releases of Asterisk 16 yet. When there is a final release of Asterisk 16, we'll start working on testing VICIdial with it to see what works and what doesn't.

I'm going to believe that since 14.0.1 has Opus in it ... 15 and 16 are likely to follow momentarily. So when 16 finalizes ... it ought to be in there. Of course, I say this without bothering to do any research.

Unfortunately not as part of Asterisk 13. The way they handle the OPUS codec is they just connect across the internet and download it. Since this is a pre-built binary the OBS (OpenSuSE Build Services) doesn't like it. It only wants source code that's been compiled on their servers with the exception of firmwares for hardware devices.
I also know of literally no one wanting Opus other then you, but I give up. I added it to the ViciBox build so it will be part of ViciBox v.8.1.1. Until then you'll just have to copy and install it manually from
