UNREACHABLE: sip show peer babytel

Postby THUFIR » Fri Feb 13, 2015 2:53 pm

Does this look like a reasonable SIP trunking configuration? I configured it through the Administrator interface.

Code: Select all

I'm on page 13 of the managers manual. Can I "ping" the trunk provider somehow, perhaps? How do I know that this configuration works, or, at least, connects?

In the case of babytel, there's a PDF with their connection string, etc, for asterisk. If you phone babytel they're fairly helpful, but have no specific knowledge of vicidial. They can help troubleshoot by looking at their end to see if there's a connection, as well. That's all standard, I'd expect. You can always ask for a free trial to test out connections...

I'd also just try out Jitsi or some other softphones, make sure that the softphone can connect first. If the softphone can't connect, then I, personally, wouldn't proceed to Asterisk/vicidial because that's just adding complexity.

Good luck, post all your connection details (no password/etc) in a new thread :)
