Custom Fields - Font Size and Color

Hello,

Thanks to Matt F. for answering my last question. I've got another quick one.

The custom field forms I use are quite cluttered - in fact there are 186 fields in all for each call that is made and all of them are necessary for the projects that our call centre does.

I understand creating a GUI for the custom fields would be an enormous project, but would it be difficult to add the ability to do any of the following: change the font sizes or add colour to the text, or add images somehow?

Has anyone else run into a similar problem, or done something similar in the customization?

Thanks again everyone. I apologize for bursting in here and asking questions without giving back. Hopefully at some point I can contribute to an upgrade.

That is certainly something that could be added, and it shouldn't be too complex since it has nothing to do with data storage. I would suggest adding a feature request to the Issue Tracker and consider uploading a patch or sponsoring development.

dynamic tabs would take a bit of work to do, and would require significant sponsorship.

The font details would be much easier.

True. Would be a bit of work. We've used dhtml-suite before to create "environments" for client interaction that have worked out fairly well. Maybe it's time someone created a more-involved agent interface. But it would still have to be very responsive. Certainly not an inexpensive venture. Fun though.

@Jones: Can you post a screenshot? I manged our custom fields by using HTML code to change colors.
