what codec are you using?

are you using usb headset? coz we are also experiencing bad audio (even plantronics) when using usb headset so we switch to channelbank.

how many seats are you using?

codec we are using g729 and the 15 number of agents are using the dialer. It would be really nice if we can increse the pitch of the sound.Rest it is performing very well.

If you are using zaptel channels you can adjust the rxgain and txgain in /etc/asterisk/zapata.conf

additionally I have experienced issues with onboard sound cards you may try putting a Soundblaster Audigy (or alike) and give that a shot.

adding the |s

Postby devafree » Thu Sep 28, 2006 5:27 pm

Adding the |s to the meetme lines , it enables the agent to increase his side audio by press * and then 6 , say 4 to 8 times (to decrease press 4) in the phone. To increase or decrease the audio on the other side , agent press 7 or 9 respectively. Worked for me sufficiently. Pressed 8 to save and exit the * menu. For this function the phone in Vicidial seems to work , but not for anything else. I used analog phones connected thru Linksys PAPs.

Just added this feature last week in SVN 2-X. We have been using it in production for the last few days and it works great.
