hello to all I have a problem to install vicibox 8, since my phone servers are a little old hp dl380 g5 and at the time of installation does not recognize the HD. I understand that this is because the SCSI drivers were removed in the new versions of S.O as open suse 4.2 ..
There is some way I can recognize the discs??

1) This is not "general discussion". It's obviously a support request. I'll move it to the "Support" board this time, but next time I will insist that you hang your head in shame while I do so. I understand you are likely stressing a bit, though, so I'll cut you some slack.

2) Here's a handy link to download older versions of the .iso installer. One may actually still recognize your hardware. Perhaps:

http://download.vicidial.com/iso/vicibo ... r/archive/

3) Before using an older installer, verify that the drive in question is actually functional. Try a stock Ubuntu or other installer. If NO installer recognizes your drive, you likely have a broken drive not missing drivers.

SOLUTION:

"Starting with RHEL/EL7 the drivers for the raid controller card, the P400i, are no longer loaded in by default. When you go to install OpenSuset on one of these(G5 HP) you will likely see that it doesn’t detect your HD.

When you boot up and go into the install, press tab to get to your install options. From here append hpsa.hpsa_simple_mode=1 hpsa.hpsa_allow_any=1 to your boot options.
